Magesh Jayapandian XVII is a treat for the ears, mind and soul. Amir Khostavan's brilliant compositions and virtuosic piano performance compare favorably to the likes of Clayderman and Yanni (in my humble opinion). The emotions captured in this album run the gamut, from joy and excitement to serenity and melancholy, demonstrating the versatility of the album and its creator. All the tracks are amazing but my favorites are San Remo and Ghosts -- two that I just can't stop listening to. Highly recommend this album! Favorite track: San Remo.

about

The debut piano-instrumental record from San Francisco Bay Area pianist, composer and producer, Amir Khostavan. Contains 9 tracks of original material, plus a cover of the Iranian classic "Golden Dreams," originally written by Javad Maroufi.

This album is a culmination of material written over the past 17 years, hence the title of the record. It is influenced by Amir's middle-eastern roots, his California upbringings and the music soundtracks of some of his favorite movies alongside composers such as Yanni and Ludavici Einaudi
